What I like:
Management is kind and knowledgeable. The barn owner is very friendly and reasonable. I did like that owners are permitted to come at any time, day or night. |
What needs improvement:
The facilities are in rough shape, and the fencing is to the point that it is dangerous. Feed is limited. I found the stall cleaning to be unsatisfactory (stall was still obviously dirty), and bedding was often very bare. My horse's water bucket wasn't cleaned for months, unless I cleaned it. Horses were frequently outside with blankets hanging on their sides/under them, and this wouldn't be fixed for days. Horses were supposed to be fed free-choice hay outside, though once they went through it, it could be days before it was replaced. Riding rings were rented out to outside stables without the boarders at this barn being alerted to it. |
