What I like: The barn is a beautiful place - light and airy, nice stalls, some with little paddocks attached. People are friendly and very inclusive. Prices for lessons are fair. An enjoyable place to spend several hours. |
What needs improvement: As a mother of a lesson-taker, I am distressed to see both the owner and the trainer drinking while on the job. Frankly, I am hesitant to sign my kid up for more lessons because of this. Additionally, from what I see, there is a lot of gossiping done - fine, but do it away from me, please! I also can see that waters and stalls don't look fresh; the longer a horse has been there, the less attentive the staff is.
The owner has tried to sell the barn in the past - it's debatable that this barn will continue to be around much longer. |

What I like: I love the turn out, ventilation in the barn, light and openness of the indoor. The staff is extremely accomodating and always has your horses health and well being in mind.
Lessons with the in-house instructor are always makes fun as well as educational. Both kids and adults alike walk away with things to work on before their next lessons. Both my children (6 & 7 yrs old) LOVE lessoning on the great poines they have at the barn. I too, when time permits, really enjoy my lessons as well. So, as both a boarding and lesson barn - I think it's a wonderful place to ride and your horses/ponies will thank you for bringing them there! |
What needs improvement: Arena's could be dragged perhaps 4 times a week instead of 2/3. |

What I like: This facility is right for someone who wants great care for their horse, and a very friendly and casual atmosphere. The turn out is great, and the owner and on-site trainer treat my horse as one of their own. From the beginning they made me feel welcomed and treated me as part of their family. The trainer is excellent with the kids, promoting confidence in both their riding and how they handle horses. I've been very impressed with the progress the students have made and think this is the perfect environment for kids to learn how to ride. |
What needs improvement: Improvements? Can't really think of any off hand - if you want your horse to just be happy and well cared for, and you like a laid-back, quite atmosphere, then this is the place to be. There are few barns like this one with all the amenities in the heart of NJ horse country. |

What I like: I liked the newness of the facility. It's small but well kept, with a new indoor attached to the barn. There is nice turnout as well and it is in a very pretty area around lots of other barns and trainers. The boarders also seemed very friendly. |
What needs improvement: I was not very impressed with the lesson program at this barn. The trainer I met, I found a little rude and arrogant, and I did not like her treatment of some of the kids, too condescending. Some of the other mothers were also a little perturbed by witnessing alcohol in her hands while in the barn around the kids. |
