What I like: Rivendell has the best teaching, with the best values I've found, in a long career of riding (including several years at the British chef d'equip's stable for their olympic 3day team). They make riding fun and affordable, and take fantastic care of the horses. All the horses are cared for well until their end; the school horses vary from walk-trot up to $35,000 warmbloods. Their kids program is wonderful, with lots of ponies and fun activities. Adult and kid lessons are separate. I've been at Rivendell for 10 years now and give it my highest recommendation. |
What needs improvement: Not much! Rivendell is a little shabby, but the facilities are safe and the care is top notch -- there are very happy horses there. |
