What I like: Boarding at Silver Star Farm was one of the best decisions my mother and I made for my horse, Rainy.
At first we were somewhat shocked by the price, but considering the services rendered, Anna probably should have charged more!
Anna does an excellent job. She always liberally fed the freshest, healthiest hay; however, Anna does not overfeed; she merely maintains each horse’s ideal weight. Rainy’s stall was always clean, and she always had access to clean water—either from the lovely pond, a trough, or her bucket.
Also, Silver Star Farm is one of the most aesthetically pleasing small barns that my mother and I have ever seen (with over 50 years experience between the two of us, we have seen many barns). I cannot speak to the convenience of the indoor wash-stall with hot/cold water, the Dutch-style doors, overhead fans, etc.; Silver Star farm is horse heaven.
Yet, Anna’s barn is not just horse heaven; it’s horse-owner heaven, too. My horse has special needs, and Anna took such good care of Rainy that we were comfortable leaving Rainy behind for a while when we moved. You simply can’t stick a price on convenience and peace of mind!
Because she has a degree in equine management, she knows more than even the experienced barn manager. I wish we could find another barn manager just like Anna; she’s extremely professional; Anna not only did her job, but went above and beyond, truly listening to our concerns and many requests.
Ultimately, Anna is meticulous, careful, polite, open-minded, and entirely professional. I cannot recommend her barn enough!!! |
What needs improvement: Nothing! |
