What I like: This is the BEST place I have ridden at, and I have only recently moved my horse there! Coming from a terrible previous stable, where both I and my horse suffered, coming here has been a miracle in itself. I have started lessons with Candice who is talented and patient, and takes the time to explain and demonstrate in detail during lessons. She has also assessed my horse on the best needs of my horse on a riding, nutritional, and physical level and he is looking 100% better and is much more relaxed and happy! I would recommend this stable to anyone who wants to excel in an honest, open, and nuturing environment! |
What needs improvement: NOTHING AT ALL! FANTASTIC! |

What I like: I moved my horse to this facility a few months ago and have been more then happy with the results! I have become a much stronger and efficient rider. I feel more confident with my riding and have developed a much deeper bond with my horse. My horse has done a complete turn around. His top line has come around nicely. He has put on some weight/muscles in the areas where he needed it. He and I are comfortably jumping fences that I didn't think we would ever get to in the "near" future at our previous barn.
The trainer, Candice, is very knowledgeable and helpful. She recently spent quite a few hours researching a concern she about my horse. This was on her own time and not something I asked her to do. She is an excellent trainer and accomplished rider. She has a wonderful way of explaining things to anyone of any age!
They feed well at FSF. Unlimited hay!!! Additionally, she has a nutritionist come out to eval the horses diet intake. She has made several diet modifications for the horses so they can have the appropriate nutrition.
Additionally, at shows, Candice coaches you from beginning to end. She is always at the show ring! She 90% of the time schools each horse at the show grounds (rider dependent of course).
I have been very, very happy with my move. I would highly recommend this facility or at least Candice for anyone who is serious about riding/showing. |
What needs improvement: Nothing whatsoever! |

What I like: A very welcoming atmosphere, and the care for the horses is beyond great! I came to Frog Spring Farm after hitting a learning wall with the previous stable I was riding at. I am truly amazed at how much more I have learned in such a short period at Frog Spring. The instructor(s) at Frog Spring Farm are patient, very informative, and most of all fun to learn from. This stable brings about the true meaning of horsemanship, and NOT just being a rider. |
What needs improvement: Nothing! Excited to see the final outcome of this beautiful facility! |

What I like: not much. |
What needs improvement: The web site for frog pond farm is deceiving. The camera angles used in the photographs would lead one to believe that this is a nice place, however the reality of the situation is that it is not. There is a lot of junk in the yard, the pasture floods when there is too much rain, and the construction has remained incomplete for what seems like at least a year. It doesn't look like there is enough land for the amount of horses they keep here. This is very unfortunate. |
Stable Owner's Response: It is unfortunate that the poster while aware of a drainage issue, which many farms have, and of the exterior aesthetics is unaware of the actual care of the animals, level of courtesy extended to the clients, or the overall plan for the facility which is in fact just a year old. Construction is not halted, only unvisible from the road. There are plans to expand pasture in 2010. As pasture is not the primary food source for the horses stabled here, and turn out is provided on a rotational basis; the actual amount of land is not an arguing point.

What I like: You couldn’t ask for a better environment than Frog Spring Farm. From horse to rider, the care here is exceptional. The owner/trainer is extremely knowledgeable, talented, patient, kind, and flexible.
I love that my lessons aren’t cookie-cutter lessons like you find at so many large show barns. The trainer take the time to really think about what would be best for my horse and for myself, and puts together a lesson tailored to what we need to work on that day. The trainer is an accomplished Hunter/Jumper rider herself, and is fully capable of taking her students to the top of their chosen discipline - her knowledge is endless! It excites me to think about the future, and how much I can learn from her.
Being a smaller farm, the utmost care and attention is paid to the horses, and their comfort and safety is always the first priority. Special care is taken to ensure that each horse’s needs are being met, as well as each rider/boarder’s. All of the riders and boarders here are wonderful, and always willing to help each other. It is truly a positive, nurturing environment for any horse and rider. |
What needs improvement: I have ridden at many barns, and this is by far the best environment I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. I can't think of anything that needs improvement. |

What I like: At Frog Spring Farm it is a very welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is always kind and helpful. The trainer is extremely knowledgable and easy to work with . She assists each horse and rider to be at their best potential. I like that it is different from the larger operations where just simply the love of horses and the joy in riding can get lost. I think this stable is suitable for whatever your looking for. There is great attention given to detail and the individual and horse's needs. |
What needs improvement: Nothing. I've been to other stables and find this one to be a perfect fit for what I'm looking for. |
