What I like: I was saddened when family problems arose and I had to leave Ledge Hollow. Feed was excellent and stalls spacious. Daily turnout was a big draw as well. The trails across the street are quiet and well kept. The owners Terry and Jeanne are very accommodating and always eager to lend a hand and solve whatever problem may arise. I would highly reccommend this barn. Would love to return some day. |
What needs improvement: Nothing. |

What I like: I'm a student worker for Ledge Hollow. It's a wonderful barn with friendly boarders. The owners, Jeanne and Terry are very friendly and knowledgeable people. I have no problems or issues.
I can go and be myself and have fun and relax and can enjoy myself. It's a down to earth barn. |

What I like: The stable is very freindly and kept very clean. All the horses seem to be content and happy in their stalls.
The instructor Jeanne is extremely knowledgeable and gives the lesson in a professional manner! Let's not forget the wonderful lesson horse she uses. A beautiful and intelligent mare, that makes you pay attention.
I would highly recommend this stable to anyone, and have in fact had a family member join me there! |
What needs improvement: Nothing really needs improvement. It would be nice in the future to have air conditioning in certain parts of the stable. |

What I like: owners are knowledgeable honerable people who care about boarders and our horses. They are approachable and go out of their way to accomodate our wants and needs. I looked at a number of barns before getting back into horses after some years away. I am most happy with my choice It saddens me to see less honerable exboarders attempt to discredit them anonomously. |
What needs improvement: Owners have plans to upgrade fencing on one of the pens and I look forward to that |

What I like: Where horses can actuality be horses. The horses are turned out and not left all day in their stalls. My horse is one of the top Rocky mountain's in the US.He is now 20 and looks great. The feed is great.I love him to death and would not board him anywhere else.He loves it here, and the barn owners are the most normal owners I know. The park is beautiful and quiet.I drive over 30 minutes just so he can have a great home. |
What needs improvement: For the horse nothing, and thats what is important to me. |

What I like: The place looks very nice and is across from the metroparks |
What needs improvement: The quality of care is poor. My horses have lost a lot of weight while boarded at this facility. Quality of hay is poor, management is not receptive to customers and rude at times. Feeding times vary a great deal and the barn has a high rate of colic. Stall cleaning is not always done as promised. |
Stable Owner's Response: This was a former boarder who liked to stir up trouble and create drama and tension in the stable. The horses did not loose weight while here. We weight tape all horses when they come in and again after a month, so that we know how they have made the transition to a new food. We have our own hay fields which although are not alfalfa they are good hay with a mixture of timothy, and orchard grass and clover. We are never rude to our boarders. Horses are fed at 9:00 am and at 6:00 pm. With free choice hay in the turn-out paddocks all winter. Stall cleaning is done 6 days a week but the times may vary since stall cleaning is a part time job. Some days it is in the morning and some days in the afternoon. We do not have a high rate of colic. We invite anyone to visit our facility, and see the quality of our hay, and if you like jump on the wagon and help us bale it. We welcome the help. While you're here visit with our boarders and feel free to ask them questions, they are a very friendly and helpfull group of people.

What I like: I wouldt board at any other barn but ledge hollow Stables it has everything you need and more for both you and your horse. They tons of lush pastures and large indoor and outdoor arenas, and not to mention right across from the Hinckley metro park bridal trails. They also have the best riding instructor I have ever ridden under. |
What needs improvement: Nothing you couldn't ask or find a better facility. |
