What I like:
Barn is kept clean, no portable potty |
What needs improvement:
Was told there were several large pastures for turnouts....(in my opinion)there are PADDOCKS...very small, the 'pastures' are merely somewhat larger paddocks & they are reserved for the owners horses. Barn rules are only enforced with some boarders while others are allowed to skate all over them. Manager , In my opinion made life very difficult the whole time we were there. For someone who claims to know as much as she does about horses...it was frightening to watch her with hers & others although , not comfortable with the lack of experience, knowledge.There is no working summer fly spray when we boarded there although it states this on the website. Our horse was only allowed in the larger paddocks a few times over almost a years time. In my opinion, the horses here were very stressed, not from mistreatment ...but boredom as they are in stalls & very small paddocks all the time....they don't get to BE horses! Ours was very depressed.While the barn & grounds are kept up theres just not sufficient space for the many horses at this barn & we found it impossible to use the arena more often than not. Of course this is only an opinion & you can judge for yourself... |
