What I like: Working and riding with Monika was a great experience and I learned way more with Monika than with any other trainer I have ever met. Her passion and true dedication for the sport, animals and the horse community is contagious! She takes excellent care of her facility, horses and boarders - she takes the time to teach her employees how she wants things done (which could be a turn-off, but I think it is best for clear expectations). Monika's training is effective and positive. She pushes you to your best but watches that she does not push you over the edge! The horse care is great - each horse is known and cared for individually. There is ample turnout, despite what other reviews say. The years of experience that Monika has accumulated show through the fine condition of her horses and riders. Monika is a true horsewoman, and I truly respect her passion and dedication. |
What needs improvement: Monika is very passionate and dedicated - which can be overwhelming or intimidating, I feel that this can be motivating, inspiring or frustrating. Sometimes there are unspoken expectations, like being somewhere earlier than said or mandatory events not known as mandatory. |

What I like: Rhythm and Blues Eq Center is an excellent. facility. When I first moved there I was contemplating selling my beloved mare. But, the patient instruction and quality management at R&B have saved my relationship with my horse and I am excited about our future as a team. Monika takes the time to assess the needs of each horse/ rider and has helped us come quite far in a short amount of time.
I cannot find any fault with the care my mare has recieved! The barn is meticulously kept, pastures are green, hay is fresh and abundant, water buckets are dumped/scrubbed daily, and only high quality concentrates are fed.
All the boarders/riders get along and are very supportive of each other. We often meet on a nice day for a group trail ride!
In summary, I could not be happier with my decision to move my horse to R&B!!! |
What needs improvement: No improvements needed! If you are looking for a barn with great facilities full of mature, friendly people, this may be the place for you. |

What I like: The barn is kept very neat and clean, the pastures and rings are well maintained, and the horses get excellent care. The manager is a talented professional and an excellent trainer who takes the time to know and care about the individual needs of each horse and rider, is very encouraging and fun to be around. |
What needs improvement: No major improvements needed. |

What I like: I'm very pleased with the facilities and the quality of care for my horse. Monika, the manager, is passionately committed to making sure the horses are well fed and well cared for. I have great confidence in her judgment as she's a seasoned professional. There's plenty of turnout and the stalls and barn are kept very clean. It's in a very accessible location, the footing in the rings is always well maintained, and we regularly get the horses out on trail rides in the area. I and my horse have benefited greatly from her training and have been doing very well in shows this year. |
What needs improvement: I've been very pleased, but it's not for everyone. If you're someone who feels they know everything there is to know about horses (a sentiment I detect in some of the negative reviews about this barn), you may not want to take direction from the manager. If you're mature enough to value the opinion of someone who has worked professionally with horses for over 30 years, I think you'll be very satisfied. |

What I like: The Director is top notch in every way - a true classical master and extremely personable. My horse is thriving in her care which is the best I have found on the east coast. The depth of understanding of classical dressage can only be matched by an excellent seat, beautiful position, light hands, skilled training techniques and professional attitude. I highly recommend this wonderful trainer. |
What needs improvement: The Director needs a clone so there are more of her. |

What I like: The facility is very nice. It has plenty of land to ride on. The aisles are nice. The indoor and outdoor are nicely sized. The pastures are in good condition. The person running the farm lives on the premise which is nice. The owner also lives on the farm and is very nice. All and all the facility is amazing ... if the owner would only fix the one problem ... the person running it! |
What needs improvement: The indoor is full of rocks! The horses are not allowed to play in the fields ... if they run at all they are brought in! The hay sucks! The stalls have next to no bedding! The women running the farm is very insecure and always looks for compliments. She makes the barn a stressful envirionment and unpleasent for you to bring visitors with you to the farm. She also is not qualified to teach jumping in any way!!! She has no clue what she is talking about and it is just a matter of time for a horse to get ruinned! She also puts down every facility you are moving to as if she is the best around! She is very unprofessional with how she talks about others. This makes this amazing facility a complete turnoff! |
