What I like:
Awesome stable, care, and instruction. Taught me to ride, and how to best take care of my horse. Everything is made simple for me, the stable owner (who is also the manager) taking care of all day-to-day items and regular maintenance (like meeting the farrier, or taking my horse to the vet for routine stuff) so that it didn't interfere with my class/study/work schedule. All I had to do was come to the barn to enjoy my horse. I never had to worry about anything.
And she's great about taking students to shows, and helping them advance! I especially liked how she saved me so money by telling me what extras or supplements or items were unnecessary to the well being of my horse. Sort of like somebody telling you that your kid needs shoes that fit him well, not designer stuff that is flashy but isn't waterproof, and won't fit just right.
The facility is safe, which is a big thing for me. The owner/manager is responsible and really cares: another big thing for me.
This is the perfect stable for someone who can't be there every day for their horse, because you have the peace of mind that everything is still okay.
What needs improvement:
nothing. I loved it, and was sorry I had to move out of state.

What I like:
Great barn, great instruction, wonderful care. Owner really knows what she's doing, and has many years of experience in teaching, breeding, caring for, and riding horses. She's also got a B.S. degree in animal science to back it up. She learned to ride in Germany, and is half german, so teaches that way: pretty strict. It's great! Even when you aren't sure of yourself, she is, and shows you how to get the best from yourself, and your horse. She teaches even small kids, and those with grey hair.
She lives IN the barn, literally! So the care is always spot on. The whole place is at a higher elevation that most of the county, so never ever floods or gets too muddy. Arena is great, huntfield is too, and there are even trails in the woods of the pasture. And they ALWAYS have a lot of horses for sale, of all ages. The farm is peaceful, and relaxing for the horses and riders/boarders. No drama, no stress. And fun activities are frequently planned that you can chose to join or not such as trips to Lake Somerville for riding and picnics, or barn days at a spa for pedicures.
What needs improvement:
Can't think of a thing.
