What I like:
good pastures; location private; Somerset/Gordonsville area is pretty
What needs improvement:
ventilation equipment needs serious updating for the comfort of stabled horses during big heat; ie, fans are turned off when owners gone;
compassionate care of horses ---communicate significant health issues to outside caretakers for the safety of the horse; use of flysheets and more liberal use of fly spray should be standard procedure at a barn of quality.

They sincerely care about the welfare of the horses and riders and make sure every last detail is taken care of with the utmost attention. You cannot find better people to work with in this industry!

What I like:
DaisyField is a hidden gem in the Charlottesville area. I have kept my horse at their facility since moving to the area and plan to stay there as long as I possibly can. Paul and Wendy take excellent care of the horses -- I am never worried when I can't make it to the barn for weeks at a time when caught up in exams. Paul is a wonderful teacher, extremely knowledgeable in both jumping and classic dressage. There is a relaxed, fun attitude at horse shows and a feeling of camaraderie between riders at the barn. Truth be told, not wanting to leave Daisyfield was a big reason that I chose to continue on at UVA for my graduate degree. That alone should speak for itself.
What needs improvement:
Nothing.
