What I like:
Our stable is a full boarding facility, we offer hunter/jumper riding instruction as well as dressage lessons. Yes we do have lesson horses that are retired here, they are no longer in use. We take pride in our school horses and our farm and would never ride horses that are "lame." If you would like to talk to someone about Carlton Farms or boarding here please call the office phone # 757 220 3553. This site was created by someone other than a Carlton Farms employee so most of the information on here is incorrect. Hopefully we will be able to correct this page soon. Thank you and again if you have any questions please contact the office, our website is carltonfarm.webs.com.
What needs improvement:
Our stable is in the process of refencing the front arena as well as the pastures, we have recently refenced our large back arena.
Stable Owner's Response:
The site has now been updated, all information about the farm has now been corrected. (unfortunately reviews that are untrue, such as the first one, can apparently not be taken down)

What I like:
There is absolutly nothing likeable about this stable
What needs improvement:
-Profesionalism needs to improve
-New fencing
-New footing
-Lock needs to be taken off feed barn
-poisonous weeds need to be removed
-school horses need to be retired
-workers need to have knowledge with horses
-barn manager needs to be replaced

my experience at this farm was not pleasant. The barn manager was hostile towards my family. Some of the lesson horses were lame and were still ridden and jumped! One horse came in with a nail up her hoof because they couldn't be bothered to go find loose nails. The barn manager knows nothing about horses. They locked the hay and feed barn to keep boarders from giving horses hay which is absolutly rediculous. Not to mention the multiple times I have had trainers starting rumors and drama because I jumped over 3'
in my honoest opinion this barn has no sense of professionalism what so ever
my family decided to make the move and gave the barn manager our 30 days in may of 09 and 4 days before we left I gave my honest opinion on facebook and some how my barn manager found it and decided to give us 24 hours to leave. truthfully she just wanted the "last word" and when we came theat day my little sister and i were tacking up the horses and the barn manager called the cops because we were "trespassing" although we still had our 24hours
if you have anymore questions about this farm please feel free to email me at elliemare93@hotmail.com
