What I like:
This stable has so many wonderful things about it that I don't know where to start..... It has wonderful, professional, skilled employees and working students who take the horses and client's saftey and happiness first. The horses are so well trained and are unbelievably happy and safe for all disciplines . The stable rescues scrawny, unhappy race horses off the track and turns them into marvelous, confident, beauties. The lesson and boarding program is very well managed and run with the wise knowledge of our staff and instuctors who have skilles varying from horsemanship, hunter/jumpers, dressage, to even western pleasure! I love this stable so much, my horse and I are very happy here, with the fantastic horse care, relaxed enviornment, and professionalism showed at this stable.
What needs improvement:
Shows open to other stables to come and compete.

What I like:
The people make this place the best farm ever. It offers a wonderful social environment and is a great place, filled with role models, for kids and teens and activities and shows year round. Even the most beginner adult student will not feel out of place at this farm. And the horse training and care is unbeatable--daily turn out, excellent farrier, exceptional hay and options of grain and supplements, on call vet access, and staff living on site. The setting is picturesque, set along the Potomac River in a cozy spot. Staff are friendly, skilled, fun, and accessible. The farm has large tidy indoor and outdoor rings, cross country fields, and the Potomac trail access. There are always people and kids around, working and talking about horses. The farm holds six shows a year, in dressage and hunters. The instructors are skilled and sensitive to the needs of beginning and intermediate riders and advanced riders through 3'6 hunters. The trainers work on classical riding principles---from basic dressage, through advanced hunter and pleasure work.
What needs improvement:
The facility is charming, but older. As of early 2010, the farm does not offer high level eventing instruction, but can instruct riders eventing through Novice and hunters through 3'6". No field board.

What I like:
Very patient and flexible with lessons and skill levels. I had a bad fall in 2006 and had to start from scratch walking on horses. I started out taking lessons at WNEC in Summer of 2008 at a slow trotting level and now canter in figure 8s on correct leads. The staff is always pleasant and 3 of the 4 full time staff lives on premises. Horse schooling shows throughout the year and adult and teen clinics and fun rides. Love the indoor arena. Facility use around the clock if you board a horse there.
What needs improvement:
It would be nice if there were different types boarding rates (field board) etc.

What I like:
The only good things are the consistent condition of the riding rings, horses' consistent and easy access to water, competent farrier & vets, and stall availability, which is always present.
What needs improvement:
Quality hay and grain are not a priority at this farm, and are not easily attainable at the low price management is willing to pay.
Worker supervision/competence is at an unacceptable level.
There is a lack of quality trainers for high level horses and riders, or horses/riders working to attain higher levels of training.
Turnout is very limited - no run in sheds.
There is a lack of professionalism exhibited by head trainers, stemming from the management, which results in safety issues involving both horse and rider.
High employee turnover.
Poor general farm maintenance.
